| Description (Copper Sulfate) Pneumatic Dryer uses high-speed hot airflow to suspend wet starch in it and dry it during airflow. It has the characteristics of high heat transfer coefficient, large heat transfer area and short drying time. In this method, the heating medium and the solid particles to be dried are directly contacted, and the solid particles to be dried are suspended in the fluid, so the contact area of the two phases is large, and the heat and mass transfer process is strengthened. It is widely used for drying unit operation of bulk materials. For many years, it has developed 4 series: Q series, QG series, FG series and JG series. Working Principle: In pneumatic dryer, the material to be dried is kept in a state of fine division, so that the surface per unit volume is high and high rates of heat transfer are obtained. Solids are introduced into the dryer by some form of mechanical feeder, such as a rotating star wheel, or by an extrusion machine arranged with a high-speed guillotine to give short lengths of material, such as 5鈥?0 mm. Hot gases from a furnace, or more frequently from an oil burner, are passed into the bottom of the dryer, and these pick up the particles and carry them up the column. The stream of particles leaves the dryer through a cyclone separator and the hot gases pass out of the system. In some instances, final collection of the fine particles is by way of a series of bag filters. The time of contact of particles with the gases is small, typically 5 s, even with a lengthy duct 鈥?and the particle temperature does not approach the temperature of the hot gas stream. In some cases the material is recycled, especially where bound moisture is involved.
